I use a combination of methods, especially depending on what works best for the student: ie. Visual, oral or practical.

I will work with textbooks and dictionaries of my own, along with any materials the student already has too.

Depending what works best for the student, I also incorporate helpful apps such as Word Reference and Duolingo.

I also have some suggestions of books to read in the respective language, as well as movies which can be helpful to watch conversational use of the language.

I studied French from the age of 7 to 20, completing my Higher and Advanced Higher with A’s. I also completed 2 years at University level, where I passed with distinction in French.

I also studied Spanish from the age of age 14 to 17, completing Higher Spanish. I also completed 2 years of study at University level.

I have always loved languages, and being able to utilise them while travelling. Even when I went on holiday to Italy, you can find similarities in the languages which makes it easier to understand and communicate.
