I am a qualified teacher and have taught year 5/6 in schools for the past 6 years. I am a very patient, nurturing teacher who begins by building confidence in a pupil, then challenging them to reach their full potential. My lessons are built around building on foundation knowledge, deepening understanding and improving speed and accuracy. This is applied by developing methods and strategies for problem solving and repetitive arithmetic to increase speed and accuracy. Lessons are personalised to pupils needs and include past practice papers, quiz’s, games and various schemes of work designed to enhance those used in schools.
