Online lessons will consist of powerpoint slideshows on zoom, with visual slides displaying the content of a topic on the maths and science curriculum. Verbal explanations will first be provided by me followed by practice questions that are carefully selected. Once those questions have been answered, they’ll be marked and any corrections will be done in a different colour pen to ensure the student can focus on learning from their mistakes. After one topic is covered, a test created by me will be given and a pass mark will be set (80%). If the student achieves below the pass mark, they’ll repeat the topic again and will be provided more extra practice. My experience is quite enjoyable - most students have shown a lot of progress with me.
Year 11 students will mainly be focusing on past paper practice after February, and exam techniques will be provided for them.
