I achieved 15A* at GCSE, 4A* at A Level, a 1st class honours Msci Physics degree from Imperial, and now work at the National Nuclear Laboratory. Previously I have completed research projects with the European Space Agency, Lancaster University's Engineering Department and the Heidelberg Institute of Environmental Physics.
I have been tutoring Maths and Physics at GCSE and A Level in person and online for over a year, have completed a year of in-school class teaching, and have taught undergraduate Laboratory and Advanced Electronics modules at University. Beyond this classical teaching experience I have also delivered more than 40 Science Outreach shows nationally and internationally, and developed a novel Curie Point demonstration which I published a paper on in the Institute of Physics Education journal.
Each student is different, and my lessons are tailored to align with your goals, learning style and preferences. I deliver online sessions via mixed media practical simulations, collaborative note taking and practice question completion, and demonstration-supported explanations. For in-person sessions I integrate hands-on physics experiments throughout my teaching to bring the theory to life.
I provide resources such as online study guides, summary session notes, feedback on practice questions, worked solutions and focus area flash cards or quizzes to support your learning outside our sessions, and am always happy to help tackle any challenging assignments together. I support my tutees to achieve their fullest potential, with two of my past students going on to gain and meet Oxbridge offers following mentoring, tutoring and study support.
