I have a BSc Honours Degree in Information systems, a Certificate in training practice, and over three years of teaching Computer Science and ICT to secondary school students up to GCSE. I offer Computer Science up to GSCE and Maths and English up to 12 years of age.
I make it a point to find out what learning style suits you. I also encourage engagement and ownership. My lessons are delivered in a variety of ways and they can include a combination of videos, presentations, and role-play.
I believe in bitesize learning and repetition. I also promote memory recall activities to help learners check and refresh their knowledge of a topic. This could range from the use of mind maps, questions, or quizzes.
Where I can. I always try to relate a concept or a topic to something that you can relate to in your day-to-day activities and I find that learners remember concepts better that way.
I am passionate about learners overcoming any challenges they may have about the subject, it is not just about learning but about building character and confidence.
Remember, there is no question that is too silly to ask. When you as you learn.
