My lessons are fun and interactive and text based, drawing on the love of stories in order to develop vocabulary and comprehension skills. I use good quality texts which are stimulating and enable the learner to engage in detailed discussion, talking about the setting, characters and plot along with making predictions as to what might happen in the story. Using phonetic skills to decode simple text I use my sessions to introduce Early Years students to Early Reading skills, learning how to use a text effectively and most importantly to develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
