I am a highly experienced teacher of French and Spanish - teaching a range of ages, from young children to GCSE and A level students and adults - with a very successful, long standing track record at Francis Holland School, Sloane Square. A passionate linguist, I lived, worked and studied in Paris for five years, including one year at the Université de Londres à Paris, and two years as a lectrice d’anglais at the Sorbonne Nouvelle. As a result, I have a native command of the French language and in-depth cultural knowledge. I have a First Class Honours degree, a PGCE in French and Spanish and more recently a Masters by Research, with Distinction, in Contemporary French Cinema from the University of London. Currently, I run an advanced adult group, tutor adults and individual students in preparation for French A level and Spanish GCSE, as well as co-ordinating and delivering French and Spanish at a Prep School.
I am passionately committed to sharing my love of French and Spanish language, culture, literature and film with my students. I view language learning as an exciting cultural voyage of discovery that equips students with useful practical skills, broadens horizons and outlook, is both enriching and enabling, facilitating connections in many different spheres.
