I have a degree in teaching and have over 8 years experience teaching online and face to face. I am currently studying a MSc in Inequality and Society. I also teach ESOL (Pre Entry to Entry Level 3) and Functional Skills English and Maths (Entry Level to Level 2). I have taught in Further education in some of the leading College's within the North East of England as well as Primary Education, mainstream and special schools. My teaching degree is in Special Education.
Currently I teach ESOL and Functional Skills English and Maths. My lessons are always fun and interactive with plenty of games and laughter. During your time with me you will learn a range of topics and techniques to retain information whilst embedding safeguarding and British Values. My ESOL classes are always fun with ESOL bingo, prepositional games and phonics. I have students study with me for over 2 years as they have progressed from Pre Entry ESOL all the way up to Entry Level 3. I Focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as grammar and spelling.
My Functional Skills lessons are engaging with lots of show and tell, group and individualised tasks. Some topics learned with me are simple and complex sentence structures, grammar and spelling as well as speaking and listening activities. Students develop their confidence and public speaking skills throughout their journey with me.
I always tailor my lessons to the need of the learner, opting for a holistic approach.
