Hi! My name is Anto, I was born and raised in Argentina and the US. That is how I learned the language. I have studied to become an English teacher in Argentina and I´ve been teaching English for the past 12 years to children, teenagers, and adults. But 5 years ago I became more interested in my own native language, Spanish. That is why I decided to take a course on how to teach Spanish as a second language. As soon as I had finished I was teaching and I loved it as much as English I have taught many students from Brazil and the US.
I love to know about my students before we begin our classes. I like to work for their goals and objectives while considering their interests. I recommend taking a general English/Spanish level test (that I will provide) and having an interview to know a bit more about what level they are in and what they want to achieve. Finally, I plan the classes according to the needs of the student. I like to plan my classes and leave time for questions and doubts. My philosophy is we learn by using, so for me, it's important to use the language. In my classes, this is applied from the very first day and we work on communication and on the ability to communicate so that you are understood by others. We will work on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to improve the language in all aspects.
1- Conversational Classes: Take a class in which the focus is only on the practice of the language. We will work with a topic, book, novel, movie, video, and listening so that we have content to speak, debate, exchange opinions, and argue about. We will pay special attention to the vocabulary used in every context.
2- General English/Spanish Classes: These are classes in which the curriculum is based on a general English/Spanish grammar intended/required for each level but through general content. This means that we will work on grammar while talking about everyday topics, and general topics. Always with a communicative approach.
3- English/ Spanish to travel: Classes for people who want to travel or that are soon to travel and want to know the basics to communicate. Topics such as how to order in a restaurant, ask for a room in a hotel, talk with the locals, ask for directions, etc. These classes will be based on the need to learn some key vocabulary to communicate during their travels.
