Hi, I’m Lily and I recently graduated from Oxford University with a Masters in Chemistry.
Each lesson would be typically based on one particular problem area/topic. I would start by giving a general explanation and overview, whilst assessing the level of knowledge you already have. I would then go through your exam board specification with you, to make sure you understand everything you could be asked in an exam. I would then apply this practically by going through a couple of past paper exam questions with you. Tutoring can be completely personalised to suit your needs - the pace etc of each lesson can be changed and adapted.
I have had a lot of experience tutoring other students at school for GCSE chemistry, as well as helping go through topics with other people in my class during alevels when they were struggling. I am able to explain complex concepts in a different and easier way, while also trying to make my lessons as enjoyable for you as possible! Chemistry can be difficult but I promise it’s not impossible, you just need to look at it from a different angle!
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you are interested in tutoring! Just let me know your level (GCSE / A level / general chemistry) and if you want to go through the whole course or just a couple of difficult topics. I am also able to teach GCSE maths/general science. I achieved all 9s/A*s at GCSE and Alevel and helped many students at my school go from C/Ds to A/A*s (and one girl from a 3 to a 9)
