Hey everyone! My name is Lily and I graduated with a Biochemistry degree from the University of Manchester last summer. Therefore, I am super fresh on scientific knowledge and would love to help and teach students with anything biology and chemistry related. I can teach anything on the biology GCSE, chemistry GCSE, biology A-Level, and chemistry A-level specifications, from any exam board.

Hey everyone! My name is Lily and I graduated with a Biochemistry degree from the University of Manchester last summer. Therefore, I am super fresh on scientific knowledge and would love to help and teach students with anything biology and chemistry related. I am a very flexible tutor in the sense that I will design my lessons around whatever will suit my student best. Types of lessons will involve: drawing and presenting diagrams (together and individually), reading through and understanding textbooks, multiple choice questions, short answer questions, planning and writing essays together, exam style questions and fun academic games.
With these lessons, we can combine all the examples and if the student is not sure which type of lesson to choose, we can experiment and have a go at different types of lessons until we work out which methods are the most effective for their learning.
I have some experience in teaching which includes a few volunteering trips which I undertook abroad in Africa and Asia, where I taught biology, chemistry and english. I have taught people from the ages of 4 to 32 so I have a broad understanding on how to design lessons around different levels of knowledge, and also how to keep lessons fun and engaging!
I will only be giving lessons remotely and at the moment, I will be able to give students as many lessons as they wish per week. Lessons will range from 1 to 2 hours, as even if the lessons are fun, I do not want to tire my students brains out too much!
I also require a call or text conversation before my students first lesson with me so I can have a good understanding of their knowledge and how they wish to learn, so I can plan our first lesson properly before it starts.
I really cannot wait to meet you all and I really look forward to hearing from you. Contact me if you have any questions!
