Being a student throughout the pandemic was incredibly challenging: having to learn vital parts of your course over zoom, the difficulty of reaching out to you teachers due to the lack of face to face along with the reduced amount of verbal feedback. I experienced first hand the educational setbacks these challenges caused but managed to, through my own revision methods, stay on top of my work load and achieve the grades I wanted.
I realise that each individual has a method that they prefer or that works better for them when it comes to revision. From que cards to essay practice to blurting, there are so many different techniques out there which can be overwhelming when trying to find the method best suited to you. I intend to help students to find their most effective revision methods to allow them to go away and work independently out of study sessions as well as to work through with them.
I hope to support individuals with the things they may find difficult when working with a parent alone. I know as much as having someone to read the que cards to them is helpful , having someone who understands them and they can ask questions too makes a big difference to their progress.
I also will be able to aid students in creating their revision material, planning their revision timetable and understanding their course.
I hope to be able to help and support students to achieve the grades that they want and deserve.
