Hello my name is Chef Lily! I am a classically trained chef and come from a long line of chefs and bakers. My passion for the culinary arts is unparalleled and it is my life mission to teach people the art of cooking, baking, and event hosting.
I have a diverse and deep culinary background. My interest in food and pastries started at age 11 working for my father who is an executive chef, where we grew our own produce, eggs, and meat, and where I also became chief chicken minder and head tender to a French Laundry style potager.
My schooling took place at the Culinary Institute of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina where I received my Culinary Arts and Technology degree, and I also have five years experience in private cooking, teaching, and catering at various venues and residences.
During this time, I developed and taught a children’s culinary program called Master Chef Junior Camp, held during the holiday and summer season. Children attending my camp were taught kitchen skills and techniques, table etiquette and manners, world food cultures and their influences, and husbandry. Being the head instructor and creator, I came up with the curriculum and created cookbooks for campers to take home after the session was completed.
It would be my pleasure to take my students to the next level and beyond! No one is too young or inexperienced to learn this glorious art form!
As Julia Child says, "Anyone can cook!".
