In all of my lessons, I tailor my technique to each individual's needs. I encourage practicing conversational French whenever possible, and will try to find examples to explain important grammar concepts. If you love to learn languages with podcasts and reading about history or current events, I would be happy to help you translate passages or define and learn vocabulary words. Since I have experience tutoring test preparation, I also offer test review questions in my lessons.
As a French language tutor, I strive to be engaging, patient, and positive, and expect my students to be receptive to feedback. I draw on a variety of resources, such as exercises, writing passages, prompts, grammar review, pictures, and songs. I am always thrilled to create subject-specific lessons for my tutees about topics such as history, art, science, and music. Furthermore, I always ask my tutees what style of learning (auditory, visual, sensory) they prefer in order to adapt my lessons appropriately.
I have learned a great deal about what works for language learns from my past three years of tutoring French. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning a language, which is why tutoring is such an important resource. I have lived in France for three years, and have a native level of French. I have experience teaching all ages of students, from young children to university students and adults.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out! I would be happy to help you on your language journey!
