• Suggested reading materials to strengthen the personal statements of year 13 applicants for English and double honour degrees and held follow up mock interviews to test students’ understanding.
• Filled in for an absent supervisor at the Discover Downing summer school and delivered a well-received introduction to hermeneutics for a class of fifteen to twenty students.
• Mentored a group of eight sixth form students through the application process online and offered mentees additional support with study skills, specifically stress-management.

PART-TIME TUTOR, KEEN LEARNERS (ONLINE)
SEP 2020 - OCT 2020 (1 MONTH)
• Delivered over twelve hours of tutoring to ten students between Year 6 and Year 11 in English and Grammar from SATS to GCSE English Literature and Language.
• Developed lesson plans for private English Language sessions with a Year 11 student and received positive feedback from the parents and tutee through the agency.
• Led groups of up to four Key Stage 2 students through a structured and rehearsed lesson plan and received positive feedback from supervisors.

PART-TIME, INDEPENDENT TUTOR
JAN 2017 – JULY 2020 (3 YEARS)
• Implemented a two-pronged approach to aid the educational development of tutees, helping both non-English speaking parents and students to access the curriculum.
• Improved the results of each student as, within the first year of teaching, both Year 1 and Year 3 tutees received awards in either Reading, Art or, Maths.
• Edited the personal statements of three successful English applicants to Cambridge and coached them through entrance exams and personal statement interviews.
