I am a graduate from Richmond University with a degree in psychology. I have quite a bit of teaching experience, specifically teaching English to children between the ages of 4 to 14. For two years I worked with children with learning disabilities who come from disadvantaged homes in one of the lowest socioeconomic areas of Budapest, Hungary. I also have two years of private tutoring experience with children between the ages of 4 to 14. I am passionate about academia and creating better environments for young people to learn and grow. I like to create a more personal connection with every student I have as this allows me to get to know them in well-rounded way so I can cater their learning experience to each individual’s strengths. I believe that there isn't only one specific way to learn, and my students over the years have shown me that time and time again. Whether it's a adhering to a strict structure of learning through written exercises, filling out worksheets, and completing hand written assessments, or exploring a more visual and tactile way to assist learning, I like to establish how each individual can excel best when it comes to method of teaching.
The most motivating part of teaching is watching students improve as time goes on. I teach so I can not only help any student that I may have in the future, but also so I could advocate for their quality of education. I believe the best way to learn is to be in a safe environment where teachers genuinely care about their students' personal well-being in combination with their education. I strongly believe that investing in young people is how we can create a better future.
