Our sessions can be guided by your questions and points of weakness if you are clear on what you are struggling with in biology. For A-levels and IB students I can help with study techniques and how to effectively get through content and revise through exams but also be prepared for all types of questions such as data based questions. I can also help with lab experiments and lab reports. Even though I haven't taught this level of students before, I aced my own exams (7/7 in Higher Level Biology - 41/45 overall). I have also had lessons with science tutors over the years which has helped me identify the structure and methods of teaching I found the most effective on me. We will start with a discussion on your experience with biology and you strengths and weaknesses and your needs for your educational system and type of exams or testing. We will then figure out a schedule together depending on how many lessons you want to have to cover as much as possible. For example I find it helpful if a teaching session is divided in 1) questions and identification of areas of interest 2) explanation of material 3) practise questions. Same applies for younger students in which case we can make the session more interactive with drawings and learn how to use colours and sketches in biology to make things more fun easy to grasp. I am always open to suggestions if you have a teaching method you prefer or if you need help in any aspect of the subject including note taking, remembering content ect.
