We will begin with a conversation about what you would like to achieve from your lessons.
We will then begin on a set goal for that particular lesson. Over time your goals for the sessions will be measured and reflected upon to ensure growth. Mock examinations can be a more formal way to do this or this can be measured through more relaxed ways such as quizzes and fun challenges.
We will begin moving with a warm up, with follow me easy movements working every part of the body.
Then to conditioning for specific strength to be built in areas needing to be strong for dance or for todays particular goal.
Once we have the knowledge of what muscles we need to engage today, we will learn some simple technical sequences which build in difficulty.
To finish we will learn a routine or enchainment and then develop the performance and musicality aspects to develop these skills and this will also encourage individual expression and motivation.
To finish we will work through the body to cool down and stretch. Ensuring each area that has been working hard during the lesson gets attention to secure no build up of lactic acid or strain the following days after the lesson.
We will then take a reverence or bow to say thank you for then opportunity to dance today.
Working on solos, specific strength or flexibility goals as well as performance and choreography, and all around technical training are all options to explore in these lessons.
