I have studied languages for over 12 years, with experience in French, German, Mandarin and Japanese. My speciality is Japanese having studied linguistics and translation at Bachelor's degree level now moving onto a Master's degree. I have also spent time living, working and studying at University in Japan which gave me an incredible amount of native speaking experience.

I am offering private lessons in Japanese, my specialist area, tailored to the students needs. Through online 1-to-1 lessons I will adapt to the students level, going through the 3 alphabets in Japanese and guidance through the some complicated grammar concepts.

My lessons are interactive and fun, I have a lot of experience learning languages and teaching complex concepts in easy to understand ways. Sometimes the hardest part is 'learning how to learn' an foreign language, which is something I understand very well and incoorporate into my lessons.

Learning through repetition is not the basis for a deep understand or long term memorization which I know very well and navigate in my lessons, giving a range of different learning excercises and simple explanations to make Japanese a much less daunting language to learn. Breaking the concepts of the language down to simple, easy to understand lessons is the key to long term language acquisition. And I look forward to helping you on your language learning journey.
