I like to adapt my lessons to my students’ interests as I believe that language learning can sometimes feel very demotivating and so keeping students entertained is a top priority. I also try to incorporate things like videos, music, TV, and film into my teaching as they can be a great way to engage with a new language in a more entertaining way. Most of my lessons will start with a quick casual conversation to warm up before getting into the main part of the lesson. Except for business English lessons, I prefer to keep things informal and casual so that students feel comfortable and confident enough to speak the language without fear of judgement.
