First and foremost, I believe that children learn best when they LOVE learning and so enjoyment is what I strive for when I teach.

I have been a primary school teacher for 4 years and lead a subject. I teach in a systematic way, which has proven to be very successful in my teaching career. A clear lesson is very important so that children can mentally prepare for and focus on the content rather than what may or may not happen.

A lesson will go:
Connect or remember something from your previous lesson/learning.

Explain - new content explicitly taught.

Challenge task to finish.

This helps set the guidelines for a clear and coherent lesson, where children fully understand what is required of them and I know where they are in their learning journey too. This all helps to facilitate amazing progress for each individual child.

Additionally, I cover areas again if I believe the student is not secure as moving on without being secure will only increase the gaps in their knowledge and understanding.
