Hello! My name is Lewis and I am a Masters student at the University of Bath, studying Economics. At undergrad I studied Politics, Economics and Computer Science. As a result my knowledge of both Economics and Maths is perfectly suited for anyone looking to perfect their ability in these subjects at A-level, GCSE or lower! I am an easy-going and relaxed individual, which means my lessons are usually structured to be fun yet informative. Learning is not about memorisation, but instead it is about understanding and I believe that my methods are perfect for this. Foundational knowledge is very important to understand whole subjects, therefore the format of my lessons will be coming to terms with what my student does and does not understand, identifying and perfecting the foundational necessities before building confidence up to deal with more challenging concepts. I also have a lot of experience with teenagers and young adults. I believe this helps me as pupils do not necessarily see me as a teacher but as a friend to guide them through their issues. Learning can be fun, and should be fun. Hopefully you believe that I can help you enjoy learning! In terms of experience I have tutored whilst I was in High School briefly, helping the kids in year 7 (ages 13-14) with their issues with Mathematics. I have also helped children with disabilities to overcome their problems with mathematics. These experiences is where I learnt the importance of patience.
