I like to start my lessons with rhythm exercises as I feel this is where most students lack. And even after learning chords, scales and arpeggios ect. they just cant hold it together and keep the time within themselves. Some of my rhythm training methods will help develop your confidence and musical ability. Developing your time feel and 'groove' is crucial to being a good musician. It will make you relaxed when playing especially with other musicians. I will also incorporate philosophy into my lessons which will help you develop a deeper understanding and connection to the universal phenomenon that is music. We can also cover essential styles and techniques from different genres and cultures around the world where you will discover differences and similarities which shows that its not just cultural but biological. After all the most effective response in music is the innate one , but does not preclude the ones that are conditioned and learnt.
