I am a third-year King's College London student studying for my bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I achieved 3A*s in my A-levels which included Chemistry Physics and Computer Science and have previously privately tutored family friends for their exams.
I would say my biggest strength would be my understanding of the structure of exam papers. I believe understanding the structure of the paper is far more important than understanding the content itself as I have seen many very smart individuals lose marks for either writing too many long unnecessary explanations for answers and not finishing the paper on time or missing the keywords or phrases that an examiner is looking for.
As a personal tutor, I would provide my students with the perfect combination of both content and examination understanding. As a chemistry student, I can provide individuals with a more detailed explanation of many of the key concepts in A-level chemistry that aren't properly understood such as why mechanisms occur in the steps they do. As for examination understanding, I will ensure there are always plenty of exam practice questions for my students to do. I will also provide my students with cheat sheets which can summarise the key definitions and concepts they will need to understand to successfully answer questions on a topic.
Thank you for reading my presentation and I look forward to hearing back soon.
Kind Regards,
Lewis Brookfield
