I approach my lessons dynamically and work to build a structure around where ever you are in your mathematics journey, I use industry standards with a primary focus on worked examples as I find this to be the best method of teaching.
A normal lesson will start will some explanation and some real world use case examples some progression.
I usually assign some homework and will create very detailed clear reference material for the student to speed there progression!
