During my degree I discovered one of the best ways to learn was through different levels of understanding.
This means that a topic should be approached in the most basic manner at first, and you should aim to come to terms with that information to such a level that you could explain it to a child, followed by more complex learning until you can explain the exact same content to an adult instead - following this, you reach a point where you can understand the deeper meaning behind the material, and could confidently explain it to a expert in the subject.
Diving straight into a complex topic is always difficult, but when it is broken into these three levels of understanding it becomes infinitely easier to learn.

My tuition style always keeps these principles in mind, if the student can't teach the topic to the teacher, then the student hasn't really learnt the topic at all.

I can teach all areas of GCSE level Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology - I will always seek to understand exactly what content the student needs to learn (for a particular course/exam for example) and be honest upfront if I will be able to deliver it or not, before any commitment is made.
