My lessons will begin with first speaking to my student. I like to gather information on topics they find hard , what is difficult about it and why they struggle. I will then give a couple of example questions which i will demonstrate ways to go about the problem to get the most marks, as i have recently done these exams i have full knowledge on the mark scheme and what the examiners are looking for. Then, once they are confident in what ive shown, ill give them a couple of exam style questions to complete themselves, some questions which are inaccessible to students and could possibly be used in their next mocks. Depending on how well they answer these questions, ill give them some tasks to complete at home before we next see each other, which will be marked the next session.
In my exam seasons, i often served as a "tutor" to all of my friends, teaching them methods to gain marks both in my GSCE days and my A Level days and my friends have continuously praised me for my methods, all of my friends have successfully passed their GSCE and A Level maths getting above 7s/Bs and going on to university, some even going on to study maths !!!
I want to make it my job to help people to develop a passion for maths, and use their passion to boost their grades !!
