I try to make a lot of complex music ideas simple and easy to understand by comparing them to other concepts and describing the basics first before diving deeper into what they mean and how they're used. If I teach music and composition, I tend to outline some music theory and figure out how to create certain sounds or achieve certain goals using it. If I work with you, I want to encourage you to self-reflect and think about your goals and why you tend to work in a particular way. I want to help you tap into the art you love and find inspiration from it, whether it's other songs, paintings, poetry, philosophies, photography etc.
I'll challenge you to draw from places outside of music such as aesthetics, architecture, fashion, film etc. as seeing art in everyday things can really make your creativity cohesive and all-encompassing.
