Hi! I’m Lenise

I am a native English speaker from the United States. I have a firm grasp on grammar and plenty of experience with public speaking, and I want to help you learn to speak English. I have lived and worked in several different areas of the US, so I can provide some insight into certain regional dialects. I have also done some work with dialect coaches, so I can even help you to drop your accent!

In my four years of language learning experience, the most frustrating thing I have experienced is knowing exactly what I want to say, but not knowing the words or sentence structure to articulate in my target language. I can provide you with tools to overcome that struggle while learning English.

We will take a conversational approach to language learning. I try to facilitate a relaxing environment in online classes. Research shows that deep practice requires making mistakes in order for the brain to learn how to correct them. A comfortable, safe environment is ideal for learning.

I prefer to tailor the experience to the student, allowing them to choose what hobbies or interests they prefer to converse about. This is your language learning journey; you’re in the driver’s seat!

Homework may include written assignments, analyzing your favorite tv shows and movies in English, translating music, and more! Share your interests with me, and we will use that as a roadmap to reach your English language learning goals. My number one priority is to keep my students excited about learning.
