Lena Xiao Hui Woo

I’m Lena, a Malaysian currently studying Degree in International Banking and Finance in Coventry University, United Kingdom. I graduated with a diploma with distinction in June 2022, and I have scored 8As in my high school final year examinations. Before coming to UK, I was working as a full time tutor in a tuition centre in my country. There, I have conducted classes, both physical and online with the guide of my previous manager. I have a previous experience in tutoring students ranging from 7 to 15 years old. Subjects I teach include Chinese Language, English Language, Maths, Science and History. I can teach students both in either a group or 1-to-1 basis, therefore it is up to a student’s preference on his or her learning method. I tend to teach students by engaging them into solving questions, where two way interaction is done in a session. I am familiar with using Zoom as a online education platform, where I tend to let students use annotations to interact in case of online classes. I’m dedicated to help students to improve their academic skills, and I’m passionate when it comes to interacting with children or teenagers. I also have experience on building lesson plans for the students I teach, where I will adjust the difficulty level according to the student’s performance. I will be able to prepare sufficient work sheets for students as a way for students to be able to engage themselves in learning both verbally and non-verbally. Thank you.
