I am a German native speaker & experienced German tutor for all levels - both online and in person. I studied Journalism at Vienna University and Acting at Essex University. and strongly believe that the best way to learn a new language is through creativity and making a connection to that language and culture - rather learning by-heart long lists of declinations.

I have taught German and English as a second language at a tuition institute in Vienna for five years. My students were between the ages of 8 to 18. I have taught beginners as well as prepared students for their A level exams. I have further taught group sessions for adults at refugee shelters in Vienna. I am currently teaching at German Saturday School in Ealing London and teach 1:1 lessons for students between the ages of 6 and 15.

I will always encourage you to speak German, be playful with the language, risk making mistakes and we will never approach grammar without its context. We'll often start talking about a topic, reading a text or watching a clip and go into grammar from there. I love incorporating German culture, books, films, TV and music into my lessons and cover topics that you are interested in.

If we work together online, we will meet on Zoom or Skype and I will work through screen sharing as well as Google docs - so we can share documents and you can send me your work as well. If you are preparing for an exam and your school is working with a specific text book, just let me know and I'll adjust my material accordingly so you get the best possible preparation.
