Hi there! I'm Leigha and I am a secondary school teacher currently, teaching Junior Certificate Science, along with Leaving Certificate Biology and Chemistry. I have an undergraduate degree in Bioanalytical Science, in which I received a 2.2 in my degree. I'm also just finished my first year of my Master's degree, and have a years experience teaching in a secondary school, with the above mentioned subjects.

In relation to my format, I use a student-led method, meaning that classes will be led by what the student needs and requires. I try to use fun and innovative ways to teach, in order to make the content more understandable, such as using acronyms and diagrams. I also try to make the lessons as proactive as possible by continuously following the curriculum guidelines and ensuring that students are learning exactly what they need to for the exams, without putting too much pressure on them also. I also tend to use a mix of PowerPoint and handouts to complete my lessons to try and make them as interactive as possible for students.

I will be only doing online classes, due to the convenience for all involved, however will be fully available at all times for contacting, and would love to keep an open line of communication between myself and all the students. This will allow for more communication and work to be done between myself and the students, using the time more proactively and allowing more time to be spared for learning.
