I'm looking to help you find personal ways of engaging with subjects you hope to improve in, in order to make your learning journey meaningful for you. This means meeting you where you are, and helping you make links between your existing interests, your life, and your curriculum. As an IB student, I read widely outside the Music, Literature and Anthropology syllabi, and applied my learning in artistic practice (composing musical pieces, dancing, and writing). I believe that my academic and artistic experiences inform my integrative approach to teaching, by allowing me to make links between different areas of knowledge and their creative applications. I hope to help you do this too, while developing study skills that best suit your learning style.
I have taught O'level and General Music, as well as Secondary 2 Literature, in Secondary school. During my IB years, I convened a reading group on music and philosophy that discussed issues fellow students and I were interested in outside the curriculum.
