I am a multi instrumentalist with a unique, interpretive & deeply creative approach to music & instrument tuition.
Musicianship & Musicality are foundational principles which underpin what I do.
I began teaching primarily guitar in 2017 & have since been tutoring vocals as well as the foundations of drums & harmonica.
I prefer a paperless approach to tuition as I like to focus on ensuring students understand how best to "think" what it is they're playing rather than simply memorizing song specific details.

I like to mix in an effective understanding of improvisation to enable players to enjoy jamming & performing live with more confidence.
Greater understanding facilitates greater writing possibilities & greater ability to contribute to projects/bands.
Much comes down to how we choose to listen, how we choose to interpret & how we can apply a practical understanding of theory & harmony.
I approach guitar from a perspective of shapes, patterns & cycles.
My aim is to provide aspiring players with the understanding & confidence to improvise, communicate & express with their instrument.
