Hi there,
I believe that a blended learning approach using a range of teaching methods succeeds in a proficient lesson, where you feel satisfied and take something away from our class. This could be visual, audial or oral exercises, which individually contribute to successfully learning a language and gaining confidence. These have aided my learning of both German and Italian as foreign languages in the past, studying at both University and School level.
Doing exercises together and as a part of homework has proven useful from my experience as a teacher and also as a student, however, I think it's best to ensure that the student has a good grasp of grammar and an ample vocabulary first. I have prepared suitable vocabulary lists on relevant themes that are most common in exams, which can also be transferred to reading and writing skills. Of course, these can be tailored to the student's level.
I absolutely acknowledge the frustrations felt by grammar practice and usage, as it can be tricky. To combat this I like to use virtual exercises to engage the student in their understanding. This comprehension progresses over time, leading to proficiency, yet also the space to learn from mistakes.
Overall, my goal is to help students reach a level of confidence which will suitably prepare them for their exams, and guarantee their desired grades.
I teach over any platform that the student prefers such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype. Please don't hesitate to ask me any more questions.
Thank You!
