I am new to teaching and am still studying for my official TEFL.

However, in various jobs I have been required to do alot of teaching and I were to describe my approach it is to demonstrate something or discuss something, and then allow the student to make attempts themselves. I think a student should be given a few attempts to get it right before I as the teacher step in. I believe my role is to be in the background as much as possible and empower my students to stand out and speak up.

One of the most important things to me is to create a relaxed environment where students don't feel any sense of anxiety if they make a mistake. We all make mistakes and I think it's important to create a safe space for students to be themselves entirely.

I also believe in making learning fun. I think we all learn more when we enjoy something and I really want my students to have fun!
