In my most recent job, I worked as an engineering lecturer at the University of Aberdeen’s International Student Centre on a sessional basis i.e., per semester. I was responsible for training and lecturing students to become competent engineers in the oil and gas industry. I have also worked as an engineering lecturer and mentor at different universities and colleges across the UK.
Prior to my experience in academia, I worked as an engineering technician at two different oil servicing companies in my native country, Nigeria. On both occasions, more than a decade ago, I worked as a field engineer under the supervision of experienced engineers who helped guide me in my early professional career.
I have spent years becoming an expert in well integrity through intensive research and industry partnership via my PhD studies at both the University of Aberdeen and the Robert Gordon University. This has developed me as a research scientist with a keen attention to detail for practical innovation. I am also very well-travelled as I’ve lived in Canada, America, UK, Nigeria, and Netherlands.
