I have been playing for ten years, I have been in many bands and enjoy songwriting, I tutored for 2 years as part of my work experience in college and thoroughly enjoyed it and is something I'd like to return to. I play many genre's of music such as, Reggae, Blues, Funk, Rock, Pop, Indie. I come from a family of musicians (my Mother, Father, Grandad) and strive to live up to high expectations, in my eyes if my students succeed then I have as well so I put everything into what I do to ensure students continue to play guitar. My lesson plans would be figuring out the current knowledge of the student and building off what they already know or if they are a complete beginner I would make sure they have an understanding of the instrument and how it works and then start off with basic chord shapes (E,A,D) and progress to slightly trickier ones (C,F) and basic riffs. For intermediates I would focus on Major and Minor scales and exploring the fretboard such as using the caged method as well as using chord and scale charts and start exploring more difficult songs. These will be extremely flexible in terms of if a student hasn't quite understood the task I will be more than happy to revisit and go through them again to ensure they are getting the repetition and muscle memory which will be subconsciously retained later on in their guitar playing journey.
