I obtained my bachelor’s degree in pedagogy in 2013, and have taught biology and chemistry for students aged 14 to 19.
I currently just moved to the UK and started working as a supply teacher for teacher active. Online tutoring became a usual teaching tool ever since COVID in 2019. Therefore, I find it convenient and less time consuming for students to learn better from the comfort of their own home and under supervision from their parents and guardians. Biology and Chemistry is my specialty subjects and also science for year 9 and 10. In the recent years of my teaching in Fiji, I facilitated student progress in external exams from a percentage pass of 38% to a pass of 85% in Biology year 12. In 2019 I taught both biology and chemistry in year 12 with a national result of 75% and 83% pass rate respectively. I believe that a students does not become a genius overnight and it take a time and practice to get better in mastering concepts in various subjects.
