I prioritise my students needs and want to ensure that the lessons are beneficial for them
English had always been my favourite subject and I love teaching about it just as much as I love learning about it
Qualifications:
English Literature GCSE: 9
English Language: 8
English A level: A
Below I have listed a few ways of the ways I ensure my lessons are perfected for my students:
Planning lessons for allotted time to strengthen weak subjects and build skills on stronger ones
Responding to email and telephone requests for assistance with specific questions
Coaching and mentoring trainee tutors on successful teaching strategies and time management
Updating required logs and student documentation
Tutoring struggling, average and advanced students in Math's and English
Helping students prepare for routine and standardized tests, including secondary entrance exams
Offering complete instructional support for students unable to attend regular classes
Providing early intervention assistance to struggling students not yet considered behind
Since my lessons are online I use Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Skype to teach (it’s the students preference as to which is easier for them)
At the end of each lesson I normally have a short talk with my students parent/guardian to let them know how the lesson went
Homework is set weekly and the amount of is depending on age
For GCSE students I like to set past exam questions as homework to help them prepare for exam format
Homework is marked and graded by me and I also offer detailed feedback
