I have been a professional private for over a decade. I began tutoring whilst I was in A Levels where I worked with students aged 6-11, and have since established myself as a private tutor. I thoroughly enjoy working with students, particularly those applying to competitive, grammar/private schools, as I myself have gone through this as a child and know this can be a crucial yet stressful time in a child’s life and education. I thrive seeing my students achieve their educational goals and reach their full potential.
I consistently find ways to make my lessons as engaging and personalised as possible depending on the type of child I am teaching. I usually start my lessons with with a mini test consisting of a variety of topics, and then focus on areas that I’ve noticed the student are finding challenging. Over the years I have seen the value of keeping the parents closely updated on the child’s progress, so I always make sure to provide consistent and honest feedback throughout the time I the child.
To tailor my lessons, I use previous lesson/homework progress and any feedback from parents/student to create my future lesson plans.
I specialise in tutoring Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning (GL & CEM) and Non-Verbal Reasoning. I have notable success in supporting students for a range of grammar schools in London, such as Watford Grammar, The Latymer school, Ilford/Woodford County, Henrietta Barnet, and Queen Elizabeth.
I have also supported students with general tuition, to help build their confidence and cover any learning gaps. I have experience in tutoring KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE (Maths, Science) & A-Levels (Mathematics)
