Four years teaching experience, having privately tutored secondary school students in London preparing for their GCSE examinations. Teached a range of subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, and Maths, but my specialism is predominantly in English literature (and language, of course), having read English at Oxford and UCL.

My style of teaching is primarily focused on building a specially curated teaching experience that matches the child's ideal learning environment and requirements. I'm interested in opening up a dialogue with the student, finding out what they are personally struggling with academically and working with them to try and improve them as students. I'm really keen on hearing what kinds of problems students are tripping over in their day-to-day work, and working with them to solve these problems. Additionally, I tend to build other lessons around a given student's specific English-related likes and interests, doing my best to tailor lessons to things that interest and excite them about the texts that we are reading and working through.
