I am a college level art, design & media lecturer with over 3 years' worth of experience in teaching college levels 1, 2 & 3 as well as adult community classes. Prior to becoming a teacher I had been an interior & graphic designer for 7 years, a career which I continue on a freelance basis. I am able to tailor my lessons to my learner, I will find out what you need and want from my lessons and develop my content using this information.

I am experienced in teaching practical art & design as well as media topics, I am proficient in the Microsoft package, Autocad and Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop & Lightroom Classic and I am able and willing to teach all of the above software. I aim to ensure that any learner leaves my lessons inspired and with new knowledge & skills which they are able to put into practice straight away, I believe that the best way to learn is through practice. I will teach my learners the skills to understand and engage with a programme or task and will ask that they leave the lesson and spend some time practicing what I have taught, ensuring that they continue their learning journey. Each time we meet I will gauge the learning through practical tasks to ensure that we are on track to their goals as well as to allow me to tweak my lessons so that they are getting the most out of their teaching.

I am a firm believer that no matter what age, or prior knowledge a learner has, everyone has the ability to upskill, learn new skills and to chase their goals and I thoroughly enjoy being able to help.
