My years at college and university have taught me everything about revision and revision tips to get grades I am proud of. I understand not to aim for perfection, but a grade that you have worked for and are pleased to have achieved. I have attended multiple workshops on how to get the most out of your revision, I will implement these tips into my lessons.
I would like to go through the syllabus, ensuring all knowledge has been covered. Focusing on areas that the student finds confusing but specifically focusing on topics that have received lower grades throughout their GCSE/A-Level years.
We will have a consolidation session on the topic covered the week prior, followed by teaching, then walking through practice questions, provided by me. There will be plenty of encouragement to ask questions about any queries from class, as well as going through any practice questions the student needs advice on.
I believe that staying motivated outside of the tutoring hours is key to success, so extra questions provided by myself are highly encouraged outside of our hours, as well as, revisiting the knowledge to consolidate learning. Science is fascinating, my passion for the subject will rub off on my students and encourage them to, not only want to understand the topics, but to ask more questions. My experience in teaching pilates has given me effective communication, ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles, keen attention to detail and a strong focus on individual progress, all of which seamlessly translates into creative, engaging and personalised tutoring sessions.
