With 12+ years of primary education experience, including lecturing trainee teachers and being a specialist speaker for educational platforms, I can provide exciting and engaging lessons tailored to the needs of the pupil I am traching. Every lesson I have delivered has been graded as outstanding or good and this is because I put the utmost effort into creating lessons that engage and inspire.
Each session will start with a recap of the prior learning so that we can build on our subject knowledge lesson by lesson. This has been scientifically proven to help knowledge embed into the long term memory. New content will be taught in an engaging and exciting way (practical if possible!) and I always ensure my pupils can access the learning so will take into account any needs when planning activities.
I will assess throughout the lesson and adapt accordingly. If we need to go through a tricky part more than once, I will support pupils to ensure they have a full understanding of the concept being taught before moving on.
I encourage a growth mindset perspective in pupils and have vast experience in building the self esteem and belief that children need to succeed. At the end of the lesson we will revisit the main areas of learning for that session to ensure pupil understanding.
My tutoring sessions are a safe space for pupils to develop a love of learning and build key life skills. I am a supportive and nurturing tutor with a passion for enabling young people to succeed.
