I am writing to apply for the online tutor of English as a foreign language. Your company has a reputation of academic excellence, and I believe my background experience in education would make me a valuable addition to your school faculty.

At the University of Phoenix, I obtained my Master of Arts in Education and Elementary Teacher Education. Thereafter, I taught first and third grade for 5 years at an accredited private school. During these years included the pandemic, where my private school stayed opened for the year that all public schools shut down in California. I learned quickly how to provide and integrate a dual learning platform because half of my students were learning from home while the other half were in the classroom full time. It was during the pandemic where I realized the potential for homeschooling, online learning, and tutoring.

Tutoring allows students to have their academic needs met, all while cultivating an environment where the learner is engaged, generating real-life experiences to learn and enrich their strengths. Now that I am a mother as well as a teacher, I have seen the impact on the entire family units’ social and emotional health. It creates an opportunity to build and strengthen upon all aspects of the child; socially, spiritually, physically, and mentally. What I love most about homeschooling is that it instills a sense of life-long learning and provides families flexibility to teach in all environments where students can feel the impact of being a member of their community.

My impact as a teacher extends beyond the classroom to focus on each individual student. I have held supplementary tutoring sessions for struggling and special need students. I started an Anti-Bullying campaign for the entire school where I planned an anti-bullying workshop for the community, followed by a week-long of activities to promote a communal, loving, and safe environment.

Given my years of educational excellence and passion for teaching, I am certain that I would make a positive impact as part on these students.
