Hello my name is Laura. I’m from England and have over 13 years teaching experience. I have a BA honours in the business and management field, qualified teacher status and a CELTA qualification. I taught in the classroom for 7 years in the UK, before moving to Portugal 6 years ago, where I started teaching English as a second language online.

I have taught at all ages and at all levels from beginner to proficient. I can provide lessons in both general and business English, exam preparation, grammar, speaking, listening, writing and job application. I have experience in teaching all Cambridge, IELTS, TOFEL and TOEIC exams.

I provide interactive lessons tailored to the individual needs of the learner, using a wide range of mediums and resources. I conduct both 1-1 and group classes, creating lessons specifically designed to enable the students to work towards their goals and suited to their interests. I like to work closely with my students, and when necessary, parents to establish goals and create a learning plan to achieve them. I always aim to work with the learner’s strengths whilst identifying and improving weaknesses.

I think learning should be fun and interesting as well as informative. I provide an enjoyable and engaging environment where students feel able to express themselves and comfortable to learn. I am passionate about what I do and committed assisting students through their learning journey and helping then to achieve their ambitions.
