I am an online tutor, I aim to make my tutoring sessions as engaging as possible as I believe this to be the best way for my students to retain the information. I understand that each individual has different learning styles so would like to establish what works best for the individual and adapt my tutoring techniques accordingly.
My tutor sessions will be an hour long, I would expect the student to tell me the work they would like to work on a couple of days in advance so I can plan the session appropriately. I would make the sessions interactive, using audio/visual aids. Dependant on the age groups I could also use methods such as Quizlet to enhance and cement their knowledge further. I am happy to work through larger topics or a more specific question, and work through it logically with the student ensuring they understand it fully.
