I have 4 years personalised tutoring experience working with especially neurodivergent (ADHD/autism diagnosed) students, and others of a range of ages and background. I produce a tailored program for targeting revision and exam practice, to get students the grades they need to succeed.
This includes strong emphasis on self-assessment, self-motivation, and contextualised learning; using the students own non-academic interests to drive a deeper connection with the material, and a positive, enriching learning experience.
We will begin our sessions with a short review of the last or any homework/recent assignments the student has been struggling with. We will proceed to identify key issues of concern, and work together to propose a revision strategies of how consistently use corrections in practice and exam scenarios. We will conclude each session by setting goals for the next, deciding how to put into practice the skills learn that session, and performing a timed exam question of the length relevant to both the subject matter and the student’s requirements.
