Hi there!

My name is Laura and I am an Australian living in Cardiff, Wales with my husband who is a Business English teacher! I love traveling, I have been to 29 countries and counting... but I also love coming home to a cup of tea, and snuggling up on the couch with a good book. I have worked in many different industries, including healthcare (dental) and wedding decorating! I now even run my own online business selling preloved clothing, with my Cardiff friend Lesley!

I lived and worked in Northern China as an English teacher for just over three years and have experience tutoring both children and adults.

I tailor lessons to your learning style. They can be as structured or as unstructured as you prefer. I will first assess your English level and your strengths and weaknesses. Then I will discuss with you how you learn best. Are you a visual or aural (hearing) learner? Do you need repetition? Flashcards songs and videos? Do you need help with a specific school or university assignment? Done!

I generally structure my lesson around a topic and then break the lesson into four segments:

1. Vocabulary
2. Pronunciation
4. Sentence Structure
5. Role Play Conversation

Lessons are practical and move quickly. You will learn little by little and remember what you learn from each lesson!

I recommend short lessons (30 mins) twice a week, however, I can fit into your schedule! I'm flexible and fit around you.
